It's essential that one must take a brief step away from their daily routine just to refresh for a little. For the second consecutive year, I chose ATL as my get away destination. With nearly a week of time to explore and navigate once again, Stone Mountain was on the list of things to do. Mountain climbing has always been something I've been intrigued by, so when the suggestion came up, there was no hesitation.
As we reached, the tram was one final ride away from going up and closing. And probably in destiny, we missed it. Which for us just meant, we'd have to trek. Only a mile up, didn't sound too bad at first. But some parts were a lot more steep than others with a pretty rocky and moist texture, giving us some difficulty at some points.
Over a thousand feet up and one mile later, we made it. We were greeted with an amazing view of Hotlanta. (And of course, the very few others who actually made it up). We all just kind of reflected for a minute with a peaceful viewing of the city. With no worries in mind on how much of a breeze the trek down would be.
